Enrolling Your Child
Educare Lake County will not open for enrollment until late 2027. However, Start Early, the school’s operating partner, is offering programming in Beach Park and Waukegan while Educare Lake County is under construction. Learn more.
When you apply for Start Early’s Early Learning Centers, our onsite team members will be with you every step of the enrollment process. We will keep you regularly updated with the status of your application and the availability of a spot at our program.

The Application Process
- Application – You apply via our submission form. The form covers a lot of the key questions needed to help determine eligibility. We appreciate you taking the time to fill it out!
Eligibility Process
- One of our team members will review your application and begin determining your eligibility. Our team will reach out to you for required documents that help confirm your eligibility.
The Enrollment Process
- Enrollment meeting – Once your child is determined to be eligible for a spot at our school, you will meet with one of our family support specialists to make sure you have all final pieces of paperwork completed to finalize your enrollment:
- Documents needed to finalize enrollment.
- First day of attendance – Once our team has reviewed, confirmed and registered all of your remaining enrollment documentation, you will be provided a starting date for your child. Your child must attend that set day, to finalize and confirm your child’s enrollment in our school.
