Our Programs
Families know their children best, and learning goes far beyond the classroom. You are included in every step of your child’s learning and connected with the resources you need to thrive as a family.
Infant Program (0-18 months)
Nurturing, relationship-based Early Head Start care focused on responsive routines, sensory exploration and early language development to support healthy brain growth.
Preschool Program (3-5 years)
Purposeful play and inquiry-based Head Start and Preschool for All learning that builds early literacy, math, social-emotional skills and kindergarten readiness.
Communication with Families
Educare Lake County will use ClassDojo to connect school with home. This digital tool builds classroom community and gives our teachers and staff better access to students’ families.
Toddler Program (18 months-3 years)
Play-based Early Head Start learning that supports growing independence, communication and social-emotional skills through hands-on exploration and predictable routines.
Family Support Services
Our staff supports parents as the primary care givers and educators of their children, working closely with families to promote and enhance the parent-child relationship, providing parents with information about their child’s development and encouraging parents’ involvement in the education of their child.
The Creative Curriculum
Start Early classrooms use The Creative Curriculum to support whole-child development through learning experiences rooted in play, exploration and relationships. Children build skills across social-emotional, physical, cognitive, language, literacy, math, science and the arts.
We use Teaching Strategies GOLD, SmartTeach and Conscious Discipline to guide instruction, monitor progress
and support emotional regulation, ensuring learning meets each child’s developmental needs.
Inclusive and individualized supports are embedded across all age groups. Teachers use ongoing observation, developmental screenings and family partnership to adapt routines, environments and instruction so every child
can participate and thrive alongside peers.
